Who runs this page
impromptuspeech.com is a practice page for impromptu speaking: a topic deck, a clock and four frames. The site itself is the operator and decides what happens with visit data. Questions or requests go to hello@impromptuspeech.com.
What gets counted
You never sign up or fill in a form here. The keywords you type into the planning boxes stay on your screen and are never sent anywhere. The page reports three kinds of anonymous event: that a page opened, how far down it was scrolled, and that an app button was tapped, along with which button. Each event carries the page address, the referring site, campaign tags in the link if there are any, the language of your browser, your operating system and a random code stored in your browser. Your IP address is used for a rough location only and is not kept in full.
Where events go
Events are posted to a small function on this domain, which forwards them to an analytics provider that stores them in the European Union. Totals help decide what to change on the page. The data is not sold and not shared with advertisers.
Storage in your browser
No cookies are set. Your browser keeps one random visitor code and one session code that resets after thirty minutes of inactivity. Clear this site's data to remove both. With scripts switched off the page loads and nothing is counted, though the clock will not run.
App buttons
Buttons that point to the Confidently app go through /random-topic on this site. That address checks your browser's user agent and forwards Android devices to Google Play and every other device to the App Store, handing Google Play the button's position as a referrer. Nothing is stored on the way. Once you reach a store, Apple's or Google's terms apply, followed by the app's own.
Removing your events
Email the address above and the events tied to your random code will be deleted. The code does not reveal who you are, so clearing this site's storage is the quickest fresh start.
